LiteSpeed and Log Backup error

I was getting this nasty error message this morning:

slssqlmaint failed [SQLSTATE HY000] (Error 50000).  The step failed.

Turns our that I ‘accidently’ added a database to my LiteSpeed log backup maintenance plan that had its recovery mode set to Simple.  Removed the offending Database from the list and the job started working again.
