We have an opportunity for someone who is looking for a Senior Network Engineer role in the financial services industry. This role is based in Wellington and as part of the I.T. team you will be involved in all aspects of our projects.

This role demands that applicants have an ability to operate efficiently and with a superb attention to detail in a busy and, at times, complex environment. This role would suit someone looking for variety in their work or someone who is seeking challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Suggesting and providing IT solutions to Business and Management problems
• Planning and implementing the companies IT strategy
• Installing, supporting and maintaining new hardware and software infrastructure
• Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks
• Analysing and resolving network/system faults and implementing system improvements as a result of these faults
• Vendor management
• Disaster recovery planning.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate competency in the following areas:

• Previous experience with multisite Active Directory implementations
• Hands on experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls, Cisco Routers and switches
• Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, File & Print, WSUS, IIS, Exchange Server 2003/2007, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, and SharePoint experience
• Comprehensive experience with Group Policy
• MCSE/CCNA qualifications
• Experience with VMware ESXi Server and associated technologies
• Experience with Terminal Server/Citrix XenServer/VDI
• Hands on experience with HP and Dell server platforms
• Be passionate about IT
